*** Attention VPN (Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client) users ***

On Tuesday, 06/1/2022 starting at 7AM, there will be a new method of logging into VPN.
You will continue using the same icon to access the VPN, but you will now see the WSU Single Sign On screen to authenticate.
If you are already enrolled in MFA, you will be prompted for MFA as part of this new authentication process.

This change is being made to strengthen our information security posture.

If you see this login error "Potential CSRF attack detected", your MFA is not set up yet. Follow this link for MFA setup.


VPN & Remote Access

VPN is only required when you need to access WSU campus resources (e.g. remote desktop access) from off campus.
ChromeBook VPN & Remote Access

Windows VPN & Remote Access
  • Download and install Cisco AnyConnect client
  • Click "Start" → type "Cisco anyconnect" → select "Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client"
  • Type wsuvpn.worcester.edu and click "Connect"
  • Sign in with your WSU username (e.g. jsmith2) and password

  • Linux
  • Download Linux AnyConnect client

  • Mac VPN & Remote Access
  • Download Cisco AnyConnect client
  • Run the Cisco AnyConnect installer.
  • ***A pop-up window stating the package cannot be run may appear. No worries!***
  • Go to System Preferences, Security & Privacy, and click on the General tab.
  • Next, you can then select "Run Anyway" to allow for the installer to continue running
  • Once the installer finishes, you will likely receive a notification that a System Extension was blocked
  • Click Open Security Preferences and click Allow and Allow again
  • Once Cisco AnyConnect VPN is installed...
  • Navigate to Applications->Cisco and double-click on the Cisco AnyConnect program icon
  • Type wsuvpn.worcester.edu and click "Connect"
  • Sign in with your WSU username (e.g jsmith2) and password
